Christoph Cavigelli
Christoph grew up in the Grison Alps in Switzerland. He completed his studies in the renowned architecture department of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH in Zürich and graduated as an architect. Early on he learned the craft of architecture during his time at his father’s engineering office, and he started his professional career in 2000 in Barcelona, Spain. There, as a budding architect, he was responsible for an ambitious tourism project on the Costa Brava.
After two years in Catalonia, he returned to his homeland to continue his professional career at IBM Switzerland as Client Relationship Manager for national and international clients. Thanks to his passion and ability to motivate and lead project teams to success, he has received multiple awards from the company. In addition to German, Christoph speaks English, Spanish, Italian, and French. In his youth he was an accomplished tennis player, and now he plays golf with a 6 handicap.
In 2008 he founded his own studio for architecture. Soon after, a rich variety of projects were already underway for ambitious private clients in and around the region of the Grison Alps. Christoph acquired a broad network in the Grison Alps and in Zürich. In keeping with the traditional approach to classical architecture, Christoph and his team designed, planned and realized fascinating projects – from the first sketch to the handover of the finished building to the client.
After successful collaborations with Ina Rinderknecht, he founded a joint studio in Zürich in 2014. In spring 2018 he became head of the team and merged operations with the firm he founded in 2008. Now under the name of CAVIGELLI & ASSOCIATES AG, Christoph continued his successful work in architecture and interior design, with a headquarters in the heart of Zürich and another studio in the Grison Alps. The established team of architects and interior designers offers the complete spectrum of high-grade architectural and interior design services for both private and commercial clients.
